THE TOWN OF JESUS
Day 3: December 24, 2012
I joined a whole-day tour going to the town of
Jesus. Actually, there are buses scheduled to depart from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv
going to Nazareth but I chose to join in a group tour to be able to see more
spots in Northern Israel in just one day. Try to search for various tour operators online and select the lowest offer.
I booked
with Ms. Keppy, with contact information below, for 90USD. They picked me
around 5:50 AM and dropped me off after the tour at my hotel in Jerusalem.

Itinerary:
We drove to
Tel Aviv from Jerusalem, and then advanced to Nazareth, to visit Joseph’s Carpentry.
The Church of Annunciation can be seen via Cana. The site of the first miracle
where Jesus turned water on to wine, then proceed to Tiberias. From
there, we drove along the shore of the Sea of Galilee to visit Tabgha, the site
of the miracle of Multiplication. After which, we advanced to Capharnaum, the
centre of Jesus’ activities in the Galilee and his town during that time. Jesus
taught in the local synagogue. It was also the home town of the apostles Peter,
James, Andrew and John, and the tax collector Matthew. And visit Yardenit, the
traditional baptism site on the Jordan River.
I enjoyed
this tour so much. I met new people. I was with 6 Americans and 2 Swiss. We had an Israeli driver and tour guide.
I am not a professional photographer. I am not a good writer. I am just a traveler.
