27, 28, 29, TURKEY!!
July 3 to July 9, 2015
Turkey is one of the countries that spans in two continents. My one week of stay had given me time (although not enough) exploring Turkey in European portion (Thrace) and in Asia (Anatolia).
In 2012, I walked from Asia to Africa. This time (In Istanbul), I wanted to try running from Europe to Asia, but it did not happen because crossing the Bosporus Bridge on foot was banned. So I boarded on a bus to get to the Asian side.
GET IN:
There are many ways to get in, but I flew with AEGEAN AIR from ATHENS GREECE
The HAVAIST buses carry passengers between the Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sultanahmet.
Sultanahmet is the historical center of Istanbul, and also called Historical Peninsula.
GET AROUND:
Since I stayed in a hotel within the Sultanahmet, I explored the center on foot.
Going to the Asian side – by Trams, Metro’s and Bus.
Going to Cappadocia – by Metro then transfer to Havabus going to Sabiha Gokcen Airport then fly to Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport.
